John J Carr, CLU®, ChFC®, CASL®

Financial Advisor


A graduate of Pennsylvania State University, 1985, with a B.S. in Health Planning & Administration, Jack earned the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU® ) and the Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC® )professional designations from The American College in 2000 and 2009. Additionally, Jack completed the requirements to earn the Chartered Advisor for Senior Living (CASL® ) professional designation from the American College on August 1, 2011.

Jack Carr is a qualifying member of the Industry's prestigious Million Dollar Round Table (13 years since 1997) and a winner of numerous company awards and honors since becoming associated with Northwestern Mutual in May, 1985. In 2013, Jack qualified for Northwestern Mutual's prestigious Leaders Summit.

Jack Carr is active in many industry and community organizations including current Chairman of the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement of NEPA, 2003 President and current member of the Forty-Fort Lions Club, former Cubmaster of Forty Fort Pack 123, the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick, the Fox Hill Country Club, an active member of Corpus Christi Parish, in Exeter, PA., and the Westmoreland Club. 

Jack works closely with his team who serve clients throughout the communities of Northeastern Pennsylvania.

Jack is married to Susan and they have 4 children, and reside in Exeter.

 Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®   ® ® )
The Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU  ®  ) designation has long been recognized as the fundamental and foremost educational credential for life insurance professionals. Since 1927, more than 94,000 individuals have earned their CLU®   , helping them build a successful life insurance practice by providing clients with knowledgeable and ethical advice. For financial representatives, field management, home office personnel, and others involved in providing life insurance products to the public, the CLU®    designation symbolizes continuing growth and commitment to professionalism. 

Charter Financial Consultant (ChFC®    )
The Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®   ) designation focuses on the comprehensive financial planning process as an organized way to collect and analyze information on a client's total financial situation; to identify and establish specific financial goals; and to formulate, implement, and monitor a comprehensive plan to achieve those goals. The ChFC®    program provides financial services professionals with in-depth knowledge of the skills needed to perform comprehensive financial planning for their clients.

Chartered Advisor for Senior Living (CASL®): The Chartered Advisor for Senior Living (CASL® ) credential provides advisors with in-depth training on issues impacting seniors and those planning for retirement. The designation incorporates five required, college-level courses that represent an average total study time of more than 250 hours. Topics include investments, estate planning, health and long-term care financing, and financial decisions for retirement. CASL® designees must meet experience, continuing education and ethics requirements. The credential is awarded by The American College, a non-profit educator with an 86-year heritage and the top level of academic accreditation.
